Bill was formally appointed to the Board of AbilityNet in November 2007.
Bill has a law degree from the University of Glasgow and is a chartered accountant. He retired as a partner in PricewaterhouseCoopers in June 2004 after a long career with the firm. Bill specialised in audit, financial due diligence, and corporate governance.
He is currently a non-executive director of Greenwich Leisure Limited, a leading social enterprise and was, until July 2013, a non-executive director of Hertfordshire Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust, a mental health and learning disability trust.
Bill is now in business as a consultant in financial accounting and corporate governance matters, dealing principally with charities, social enterprises and other ‘not for profit’ organisations.
