About the role:
We are looking for someone to join our team part-time, working 9-5 Wednesday to Friday as part of a Job Share. You'll have experience of dealing with customers, strong communication skills and the ability to maintain accuracy and efficiency in a busy and varied role. On a day-to-day basis you would be answering telephone and email enquiries from clients and volunteers, moving potential volunteers through the recruitment process, recording and maintaining client and volunteer details within the internal database systems, undertaking checks for on-boarding new volunteers, including reference requests, DBS (Disclosure & Barring Service) checks, as well as being involved in marketing and promoting our free service offering.
As well as this there is the opportunity to review processes and gain feedback from clients to make improvements, and also involvement with events, training, meetings and exhibitions.

During 2017 our Free Services provided over 3,000 hours of free IT support in the homes of older and/or people with a disability, as well as supporting over 500 people with over the phone support and advice on technology and disability.
