Free tech support & information for disabled and older people

An AbilityNet ITCanHelp volunteer with a client

AbilityNet is a UK-based charity with a global reach - our vision is a digital world accessible to all.

We’ve been helping older people and disabled people of any age with their technology for 25 years. Could we help you or someone you know?

How to get free help from our tech volunteers

We have a network of more than 450 friendly tech volunteers who can help you or someone you are supporting. They can come to your home, or help you on the phone.

Volunteers are all DBS-checked and are happy to deal with any tech problems you may be having, large or small.

You can also find out more about our Volunteer Tech Support service and how they help people access the digital world every day.

Call our helpline now

If you are older or disabled, or if you support someone that is, you can call our helpline for independent advice from a technology expert.

  • Call our friendly team on 0300 180 0028 - you can call between 9am and 5pm, Monday to Friday (UK time)
  • You can also call us to request free tech support at home from one of our friendly, expert Tech Volunteers
  • Please note: calls to our helpline number cost no more than a national rate call to an 01 or 02 number and count towards any inclusive minutes in the same way as 01 and 02 calls, and AbilityNet does not receive any money from these calls
