Who We Help
Shaun helps others despite own arthritis pain
Shaun began volunteering for AbilityNet after a life-changing motorbike accident led to a rare infection, and a diagnosis of osteomyelitis - a rare but serious bone condition - and later osteoarthritis.
Laura has found a new zest for life
Laura has MS (Multiple Sclerosis) which has affected her mobility and sight. With help from family and friends, and the support of the MS Society and AbilityNet, Laura is now an enthusiastic computer-user.
Helping unravel technology problems
Despite being paralysed from the neck down Sean is a busy AbilityNet ITCanHelp volunteer, helping to find solutions to technical problems experienced by people with disabilities.
My computer is my access to the outside world
Northumberland-based Belinda was shown how to use her voice to control her computer by an AbilityNet ITCanHelp volunteer. She now uses technology to keep in touch with family and friends.
