News this week:
National Federation of the Blind files Target lawsuit
The Target lawsuit saga continues:
“Bruce Sexton is blind. He would like to shop on Target's website, but says he can't "read" it. He says the site lacks certain coding – found on many other websites – that would activate software to allow blind computer users to hear audio descriptions of what is on Internet pages.”

Best practices for the Mobile Web
An article from Berea Street:
“As I have occasionally mentioned (in The freedom of mobile Internet access, for instance), I frequently use my mobile phone to browse the Web. It works really well on modern sites that are accessible, use semantic markup, and separate semantic and presentational markup. It works reasonably well on many other sites, and is a real hassle on most sites.”

Web 2.0: A step backwards for accessibility?
Fairly general article (featuring quotes from Robin) discussing in very basic terms the WCAG guidelines, looking at the effect WCAG 2.0 is likely to have, and then some generic information on how to make a site accessible. The Web 2.0 section is limited to two paragraphs which is a bit disappointing given the title for the article.
