Firewalking

West Bromwich Albion F.C.  Zip Slide

Weekend Event 8th – 9th September

West Bromwich Albion

A 500 foot zip slide from the roof of the "The Hawthorns" stadium. West Bromwich Albion have given the go ahead to provide the "first" ever zip slide in the stadium. Zippers will find themselves stood on the roof of the North Stand before zipping at 30mph diagonally across the pitch.

Leeds Met Carnegie has provided this unique zip slide at a fantastic venue. Participants will zip slide 150m from the new Carnegie stand across the pitch at 30mph.

Trekking

Trekking

If you are an outdoor type why not take part in one of these treks or challenge events. They all require a reasonable level of fitness however you will receive a high level of support and encouragement from the team at AbilityNet.

Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challenge

12th May, 7th July, 8th September

Climb the 3 highest peaks in Yorkshire (Penyghent, Whernside and Ingleborough). The challenge covers approximately 25 miles and our qualified and experienced instructors will support you in an effort to complete the challenge in less than 12 hours. At which point you can become a member of the "Three Peaks of Yorkshire Club". For more information call 07905 750567.

National 3 Peaks Challenge

11-12th August, 13-14th October

Completing the National 3 Peaks Challenge in the recommended 24 hour period is a worthy challenge for any participant raising money for AbilityNet. Participants require a reasonable level of fitness to climb the 3 peaks, Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon. Qualified and experienced instructors will support you on the mountains, whilst a minibus and drivers will support you between the mountains. For more information call 07905 750567.

Are you afraid of spiders? Why not overcome your fear by attending our special Arachnophobia workshop at Dudley Zoo. At the end of the event if you feel comfortable you have the opportunity to handle a tarantula like the one shown.
