Paying for your equipment
AbilityNet is funded to support improved access to technology for the public through three current programmes
Each of these programmes helps us provide advice and support, assistive technology and professional training to organisations that wish to improve local computer access for disabled people.
Computers are becoming cheaper and many access solutions are free or cost under £100. If you’re not an expert, or concerned about paying too much or buying the wrong equipment, we have put together a range of Assistive Technology Kits which start from just £195 + VAT.
Various grant makers provide funding for equipment and our funding factsheet gives some useful tips on making an application.
