Training and presentations
AbilityNet run open-enrolment courses and in-house bespoke training on a wide range of topics.
AbilityNet is a 'coal-face' organisation working with disabled people every day. In all our courses and training we specialise in explanations from the users' perspective, using live and video demonstrations of assistive software and hardware and real disabled users. Our courses also cover many important issues not covered by recognised web accessibility guidelines - issues we’ve noted as important over many years experience of working closely with disabled web users.
"A quick note to thank you for the accessibility sessions you ran at the LSC this week. Liked your style: authoritative, engaging and flexible, and everyone came away feeling very clear and positive about good accessibility practices."
Anna Namuren, Head of Delivery, Learning and Skills Council (LSC).
Public Speaking
If you want lively and engaging speakers for a public or private seminar, course or conference on web accessibility related topics, our team has a wealth of experience.
Again with a focus on practical demonstrations of end user technologies our team have presented at a range of events including @media 2005 and 2006, a number of PAS 78 conferences, London Connects and National Library for the Blind (NLB) Awards.
