Accreditation
Are you interested in ICT, Enabling Technology and Disabling Conditions?
Would you like to get recognition for the work that you currently do in the field of accessibility/technology?
AbilityNet’s unique Accreditation Scheme would enable you to gain qualifications whilst working in your existing field of work.
We have devised a series of modules for Accreditation that cover a range of common issues. The Scheme is devised so that the modules can be worked through singly or as a programme of development, depending upon your areas of interest.
AbilityNet is proud to be working with the Open College Network, the Awarding Body of their Scheme. The National Open College Network (NOCN) is one of the largest recognised qualifications awarding bodies in the United Kingdom and is subject to regulation by QCA- Quality assurance for learning programmes. They offer External moderation and verification of learning & achievement and Award certificates to learners detailing their achievements.
All modules are set at a Level 3 OCN qualification and are designed to be portfolio based, with reflection, evidence and research - there is no formal teaching, although you will be in contact with your assessor by email and telephone for ongoing support as well as internet forums for discussion with others. You can contact the Accreditation Co-ordinator for advice and guidance if you are not sure which one is right for you.
The modules are organised in ‘Pathways’.
